How did the convict women interact with the indigenous population? After the ‘European invasion’ formally known as ‘The First Fleet’ changed the lives of Aboriginals. They had built a life of their own and then when the Europeans arrived, they changed their everyday lives. Once the Europeans arrived diseases and illness we’re brought to the Indigenous population. The aboriginals rejected the female convicts. The Indigenous population was destroyed as the convict population grew. The convicts and aboriginals had a war and this happened over a large amount of years roughly 50 years.

how have female convicts helped build the Australia we know today? |
The transportation of convicts to Australia was the beginning of our very first settlers along with the Indigenous population. Female convicts we’re the corner stone of the family and gave birth to the next generation. Without female convicts we wouldn’t be where we are today, they colonized the country. The convicts we’re free settlers and shaped our land from the ground up!
